Radiohead's Album Releasing on the Internet

When Radiohead informed the public that their album would be releasing on the Internet instead of regular record stores their record label became furious, especially when they found out that their fans are going to be able to choose the price they pay. With the record labels and producers realizing that they are not going to be collecting distribution charges or royalties if they every choose to re-release their album, they can be considered to be going off the top. Record labels collect most of their money from the publishing and distribution while the artist doesn't make anything. With the recorded sales they have been reported to have sold 1.2 million copies, if each fan pays 10 cent they make over 12 million without having to give a big cut to their label.
